University of Connecticut head football coach Bob Diaco made a pair of morning visits to radio stations on May 21 and 22 - both of which are on the IMG UConn Sports Network.
On Thursday, May 22, Diaco went to CBS Radio in Hartford and appeared on three of their stations - including WTIC News Talk 1080 - the flagship station of the network. Diaco first appeared on WRCH-Lite 100 FM with Allen Camp, Mike Stacy and Mary Scanlon. Then it was off to Hot 93.7 and the Morning Crew with D.J. Buck, Nancy Barrow and Joey Franchize. The trip concluded with an appearance on WTIC News Talk 1080 on The Morning Show with Ray Dunaway. Dunaway is a familiar name for all Husky football fans as he broadcasts from "The Dog House" at Rentschler Field prior to each home game.
On Wednesday, May 21, Diaco headed to WILI Radio in Willimantic and was the guest on Wayne Norman's morning radio show. Norman, also the color commentator for UConn men's basketball and football, is the longest tenured morning radio host in the state - working the shift since November 1, 1971.
During a break in Norman's show, Diaco also paid a visit to i98.3 FM with Pete Nichols and John Tuite - the public address voice of UConn football at Rentschler Field and Husky men's and women's basketball.
