STORRS, Conn. -- The University of Connecticut women's soccer team will open 2015 NCAA Soccer Championship play on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium.
UConn will host Siena in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Sunday, and the winner of that match will travel to Rutgers to take on the winner of Oakland versus the No. 3 seed Notre Dame.
This will mark the UConn's 30th NCAA appearance in program history. The Huskies made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament last season where they were knocked out, 1-0, by Penn State.
Siena College earned an automatic bid to the tournament after claiming the MAAC Championship with a 5-2 win over Manhattan on Sunday. This will be just the second time Siena has made an appearance in the NCAA tournament, the other was in 2010.
