Boatright Named To NABC All-District First Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- UConn senior guard Ryan Boatright (Aurora, Ill.) has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches District 25 First Team for the 2014-15 season, the organization announced today.
Boatright led UConn and the entire American Athletic Conference in scoring (17.4) and he also topped the Huskies in assists (3.8), steals (1.4), three-point shooting percentage (.411), free throw shooting percentage (.850), and minutes played (35.8).
Boatright was a unanimous selection to the All-American Athletic Conference First Team. He was named the league's Player of the Week twice, and was picked for the league's weekly Honor Roll 10 times.
Boatright finished his career as the No. 8 scorer in UConn history with 1,786 points and No. 9 in career assists with 491. He and Shabazz Napier are the only two UConn players to appear among the top 10 of both categories.
Boatright was joined on the NABC First Team by SMU's Nic Moore, Aurtin Nichols of Memphis, James Woodard of Tulsa, and Tem,ple's Will Cummings. The NABC divides the country into 25 districts by conference affiliation and the teams are selected by a vote of the member coaches.
