Pink Game vs. Cincinnati Set for Wednesday

STORRS, Conn. ââ'¬" After topping Temple by 25 points on Sunday afternoon for 61-straight wins, the University of Connecticut women's basketball team returns to Gampel Pavilion on Wednesday, Feb. 17 when it plays host to American Athletic Conference foe Cincinnati. Game time is set for 7 p.m. on SNY with radio coverage on the UConn/IMG Radio Network.
Wednesday's contest also marks UConn's 10th annual Play 4Kay game and there are several ways for fans to donate to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

Fans can donate on the UConn women's basketball official team page by visiting www.Play4Kay.org/UConn.
The Huskies will also put several items up for auction, which can be accessed by clicking or visiting . Items will include autographed posters, game-worn uniforms from the Cincinnati contest, the tie head coach Geno Auriemma will wear on Feb. 17 and a pair of game experience packages.
Additionally, members of UConn SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Council) will be collecting donations in Gampel Pavilion during the game.
In partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and the V Foundation for Cancer Research, Play 4Kay is a national fundraising effort in memory of former North Carolina State University head coach Kay Yow, who was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987 and battled the disease until 2009.
UConn (24-0, 13-0 The American) has won its last 100 games versus unranked opponents, dating back to 2012 after sweeping this season's meetings with Temple behind a 85-60 victory on Sunday. Seniors Breanna Stewart (North Syracuse, N.Y.) and Moriah Jefferson (Glenn Heights, Texas) combined for 49 points while sophomore Gabby Williams (Sparks, Nev.) tallied her fourth double-double of the season and tied her career-high with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Wednesday's tilt will be the second meeting between the two squads this season after the Huskies defeated the Bearcats, 107-45, on Dec. 30. Cincinnati owns a 7-17 overall record and 3-10 league mark, having lost eight of its last nine games. The Bearcats have three players averaging double figures, led by sophomore guard Ana Owens with 13.4 points per game.
Earlier this week, Stewart was tabbed as The American's Player of the Week for the fourth time during the 2015-16 season. She averaged 24.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.5 blocks and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 55.6 percent from the floor during UConn's 2-0 week, which included beating No. 2/2 South Carolina, 66-54.
