Marcello Named The American's Diver of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - University of Connecticut diver Monica Marcello (Middletown, Conn.) was named the American Athletic Conference Female Diver of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday.
The sophomore swept the diving events over the weekend in UConn's 160-121 triumph over Dartmouth in Wolff-Zackin Natatorium.
In the final dual meet of the 2015-16 season, Marcello set a pool record on the one-meter platform with 307.64 points. She followed up her record-setting performance by claiming the top spot behind 293.62 points on the three-meter.
The Huskies will wrap up the regular season with the Husky Open on Saturday, Feb. 6 on the Storrs campus. Admission is free for the event in Wolff-Zackin Natatorium.
