Two Senior Huskies Claim Consecutive Weekly Honors

NEW YORK -- Seniors Katherine Finkelston (Leonardtown, Md.) and Shannon Nee (Lancaster, Pa.) earned Big East weekly accolades for the second consecutive week after the team's 13-7 win over UNH to make the Huskies undefeated, 3-0 to start their season.
Finkelston was named Attacker of the Week for the second straight week after tallying four goals and one assist in Saturday's 13-7 victory in the team's first road game of 2016 against the Wildcats.
All four of Finkelston's goals came in the first half, two of which were only 18 seconds apart. Finkelston currently leads the team with 17 total points in three games, including 14 goals and three assists. She also leads the conference in goals per game (4.67) and points per game (5.67).
Nee claimed the title of Defensive Player of the Week for a second straight week this season after recording 14 saves on 21 shots faced against UNH Saturday, nine of which came in the second half.
Nee has started in all three games for UConn, stopping 29 shots for a .630 save percentage and a 6.04 goals against average. She currently leads the conference in saves, is second in save percentage, and third in goals against average.
