Fans Get Chance For Sneak Peek At Huskies
STORRS – UConn men's basketball fans will get the chance to see the 2018-19 edition of the Huskies prepare for the upcoming season at an open practice session on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at Gampel Pavilion.
The practice is open to the public and free of charge. Doors will open at noon and fans should enter Gampel via the North Entrance or East Entrance and seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Fans will be able to watch the Huskies in action, working on the offenses and defenses they expect to use effectively during the season.
UConn opens its 2018-19 season with an exhibition game against Division II Southern Connecticut on Friday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m., when former UConn star and now SCSU head coach Scott Burrell will have his UConn No. 24 placed among the Huskies of Honor on the Gampel Pavilion wall. The regular-season opener is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. at Gampel against Morehead State.
Saturday's open practice will provide a sneak peek at what to expect.
