Huskies Announce 2018-19 Non-Conference Schedule

STORRS, Conn. - Head coach Geno Auriemma announced the non-conference schedule for the UConn women's basketball team's 2018-19 season Wednesday. The 14-game slate includes four home games, four away games and six away games.
Six of UConn's non-conference opponents finished the 2017-18 season ranked in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
The Huskies will host two exhibition games against Vanguard on Nov. 4 and Southern Connecticut on Nov. 15.
UConn opens the 2018-19 season at home against Ohio State on Nov. 11. The Huskies face Vanderbilt in the Hall of Fame Showcase at Mohegan Sun Arena on Nov. 17.
Connecticut will travel to St. Thomas for the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam. The team will face Ole Miss (Nov. 22), St. John's (Nov. 23) and Purdue (Nov. 24) in the Reef Division.
The Huskies return home to face DePaul on Nov. 28. UConn will travel to Notre Dame for the Jimmy V Women's Classic on Dec. 2.
In a homecoming game for senior Napheesa Collier, the Huskies will play at Saint Louis on Dec. 4. The squad returns home to face Seton Hall on Dec. 8. After finals break, UConn travels to Oklahoma for a game on Dec. 19. Connecticut travels to Cal for a game on Dec. 22.
The Huskies will close out their non-conference slate with three games against top-10 opponents. UConn will travel to Baylor on Jan. 3 before going to Louisville on Jan. 31. The Huskies will host South Carolina on Feb. 11.
Six of UConn's non-conference opponents finished 2017-18 ranked in the RPI top 25: Notre Dame (2), Louisville (3), Baylor (4), Ohio State (6), South Carolina (11) and DePaul (20).

TV info, game times and home game locations will be announced at a later date. The team will play seven games at Gampel Pavilion and seven at the XL Center.
