"We have a very challenging road schedule this year," said Maiello. "It starts with an SEC opponent and a perennial conference champion in LSU and Navy. That will get our season of to a great start on opening weekend. Being part of that meet will certainly raise our game for the first meet of the year."
The Huskies return home on Oct. 20 with Southern Connecticut State competing with both its men and women's teams while Central Connecticut will compete with its women's program.
UConn swept Southern Connecticut in New Haven last season with standout performances from Mark Hunter and Julie Hu; each secured multiple victories in their breaststroke events.

UConn won the House of Champions Invitational on both the men and women's side in 2017 amongst a field of 14 teams. Bishop, Hunter and Will Kearsey each captured NCAA "B" standard times while numerous Huskies notched season-best times.
UConn returns home for the remainder of the semester with dual meets with Boston College (Nov. 30) and Boston University & Williams College (Dec. 1).
Our match up with Boston College will be a great meet," said Maiello. "We are looking forward to re-kindling that rivalry in a big way in November. I know our athletes will be looking forward to that meet. Â We have committed to a series of meets against BC and we are excited for the challenge."
Over winter break the Huskies will train in Storrs from Jan 2-13 with the first half of its Winter Training Camp. UConn then travels to Dartmouth on Jan. 12 at 4 p.m. for a dual meet before resuming the remainder of Winter Training Camp in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. from Jan. 14-19.

UConn closes the regular season with Senior Day on Jan. 26 at 12 p.m. against the Villanova Wildcats and Husky Invite on Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. at the Wolff-Zackin Natatorium.
"Overall our team will be well prepared for our championship season," said Maiello. "There are several meets that will test us and force us to develop our racing skills in difficult environments."
UConn will compete in the ECAC Championships (Feb 21-23) in Boston, Mass. as a tune up for the American Conference Championships from Feb. 27 – March 2 in Indianapolis. UConn finished sixth (men) and fourth (women), respectively, at the 2017 American Championships.
