Huskies Drop 4-0 Contest vs. No. 19 USF

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's soccer team fell 4-0 to No. 19 USF at Morrone Stadium on Thursday night.
UConn fell behind early at the 12:29 mark on a goal from Evelyne Viens. Viens, one of the best goal scorers in the nation, scored a pair of goals in the match to push her goal total to 11 on the season.
The Huskies were out shot 15-5 and only two of those shots were on goal.Â
One of those shots came from Sofia Leone. The junior spun around in inside the box and fired a shot right into the arms of the Bulls keeper. Both Leone and Sophia Danyko-Kulchycky registered two shots on the night.
Mollie Kerrigan made her first start of the season and made two saves in the game.
Overall, the Huskies played 18 players.
Next up, UConn faces UCF on Sunday, Sept. 30 at noon at Morrone Stadium. The game will be streamed on The American Digital Network.
