COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has named 713 teams to its Scholar All-America list for the Fall 2018 Semester with the UConn women's swimming and diving team achieving the feat.
The women's team captured a GPA of 3.26. The CSCAA recognizes teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
"I am happy for our student-athletes on their academic achievements," said head coach Chris Maiello. "We have great people on the team who work hard in the classroom. They do a terrific job balancing the demands from academics and athletics. Â They are using their UConn education to its fullest benefit and we are excited to support them in that on-going mission."
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.Â
