Wasilewski Named Assistant Football Strength and Conditioning Coach

STORRS, Conn. - Marcus Wasilewski, who spent the last two seasons as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Minnesota, has been named assistant football strength and conditioning coach, as announced by head coach Randy Edsall on Thursday.
While at Minnesota, he was part of the 2018 Quick Lane Bowl champion Gopher's football team.
Prior to his time in Minneapolis, Wasilewski spent one season at Western Michigan as the assistant football strength and conditioning coach. The Broncos won the 2016 MAC Championship and accepted an invite to the Cotton Bowl. He received his bachelor's (2013) and masters' (2015) degree from the University of Maine. He was a graduate assistant in 2014-15, interim assistant strength coach ('15) and sports performance coach in 2015-16 at Maine. He worked with football and women's soccer while serving as sports performance coach.
Wasilewski worked with Trevor Bates (Indianapolis Colts), Bruce Johnson (Rimington Trophy Award Winner, Philadelphia Eagles), Pat Richard (2016 All-CAA, Baltimore Ravens), Corey Davis (Tennessee Titans First Round Pick), Zach Terrell (Campbell Award Winner) and Jamil Demby (Los Angeles Rams).
As an undergraduate, he quarterbacked the Maine football team from 2009-2013 and was a first team All-CAA QB and All-Academic team member. He earned New England Gold Helmet Player of the Year and the CAA Scholar Athlete of the Year during his final season with the Black Bears.
