Huskies Cruise to 103-40 Win Over Jefferson

STORRS, Conn. – Junior Megan Walker's 28 points led the No. 5 Huskies to a comfortable win over Jefferson University in their first exhibition game of the season on Sunday afternoon at Gampel Pavilion.
Walker also tallied three assists and six steals. Sophomores Christyn Williams and Olivia Nelson-Ododa scored 16 points each. Senior Kyla Irwin scored 11 points.
Nelson-Ododa led the team with 11 rebounds while Williams and Freshman Anna Makurat each recorded seven boards.
All nine Huskies saw game action and scored in Sunday's win over Jefferson.
UConn outrebounded Jefferson 52-30 and held a 22-7 edge in steals. The Huskies shot 53.8 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from beyond the arc.
UConn's final exhibition game against Trevecca Nazarene is up next for the Huskies on Wednesday, November 6th at 7:00pm at the XL Center in Hartford. The game will be free to watch on uconnhuskies.com.
