Auriemma to Miss UConn-Tulsa Game

TULSA, Okla. – UConn women's basketball head coach Geno Auriemma will miss the Huskies' game at Tulsa Sunday due to an illness.
UConn associate head coach Chris Dailey will coach the team in Auriemma's absence.
The UConn leader did not travel with the team to Tulsa.
Auriemma previously missed one regular season and three BIG EAST Tournament games in 1989 while serving a suspension. He missed three games in the 1997 BIG EAST Tournament following a family emergency. Dailey led the team on both occasions to a 7-0 total record.
Auriemma is hopeful to return to the sideline Tuesday at Wichita State.
