Head Coach Geno Auriemma
On Lou's status:
"Well I think anytime someone has to sit out you are concerned what the potential is so we thought she could give it a shot in the second half and she couldn't. We'll see how she feels and then we will go from there."
On the difference between the first and second halves:
"I mean I think the issues that you have all year don't go away. We seem to be the kind of team that is caught in some ways. We were trying to work to keep people from going by us. Our offense is what bothered me the first five minutes it wasn't the defense. Once we got some of that ironed out I thought the second half was great for the most part."
On Kobe Bryant and Rebecca Lobo being in attendance:
"The kids obviously were excited. Maybe that led to the cheering and stuff. It is a lot to process in one day and it started early. You know it's senior day so you have the emotions that goes with that. You know the game will be emotional whether it shows or not. Kobe was a little bit of a distraction. We were hoping he would just send his daughter. He has gotten to know these guys so they were looking forward to coming up. It was a big deal. The Rebecca thing was once in a lifetime for someone....to then have that actually happen has got to be the most unbelievable thing. It is a lot going on and for Rebecca to have her teammates here and to share that with them it had to have been a magical day for her."
Senior Guard Katie Lou Samuelson
On her injury:
"It's alright. It's just a little stiff and some muscle spasms so we're going to try and take care of that as quickly as we can."
On playing the first minute in the second half:
"I just wanted to try and get back out there. Once I started running down the court I knew it probably wasn't the best idea but, it was Senior Day so I at least wanted to give it a chance to loosen up, but it didn't."
Senior Forward Napheesa Collier
On Katie Lou getting hurt:
"That's always really scary. I'm glad she's OK and should be fine by either the next game or the one after that. I'm really glad shes ok and that sucks to have it happen on Senior nNight."
On the pregame festivities
"It was really cool. The fans get so into it and it was really fun. Just to see our jerseys getting put up on the Huskies of Honor, it's cool to see what we were able to accomplish here."
Junior Guard Crystal Dangerfield
On the seniors:
"They've been huge from day one. I wasn't around for their freshman year, but sophomore year to now they've been a great shoulder to lean on here for everyone, especially myself. They brought me through the mud really. To see that many people here to celebrate them tonight and Rebecca is great to see."
