Taylor Woods named conference Female Field Athlete of the Week

STORRS, Conn.—The UConn women's track and field team has garnered another American Athletic Conference honor this year. Sophomore Taylor Woods is this week's AAC Female Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference this afternoon.
At the Huskies' annual Northeast Challenge, Woods competed in the long jump and posted a mark of 6.34 meters (20-09.75). Her finish was not only good enough for first-place but also earned her the No.3 spot in UConn women's track and field outdoor history knocking down the 20-7.64 meter mark from 2015.
Woods also positioned herself atop the conference's performance list in this event that ranks 13th in the nation.

The Huskies will travel to Princeton, N.J. to compete at the two day Larry Ellis Invitational, beginning on Friday, April 19th.
