Huskies Add Adebayo as Graduate Transfer

STORRS, Conn. – Head coach Geno Auriemma and the UConn women's basketball team announced the addition of forward Evelyn Adebayo as a graduate transfer for the 2019-20 season Thursday.
A native of London, England, Adebayo played the 2018-19 season at Murray State, where she was named First Team All-OVC and All-Newcomer. She set the program's single-season record with 19 double-doubles as she led the Racers with 18.2 points and 11.4 rebounds per game.
The 6-foot-1 forward spent her first two seasons at Gardner-Webb. Adebayo played for Great Britain in the 2015 U20 European Championships.
Adebayo is one of three newcomers for the Huskies next season as she joins freshmen Aubrey Griffin and Ania Makurat.
