Football in Newport for American Conference Media Days

NEWPORT, R.I. - Randy Edsall and a few of the UConn football players are in Newport, Rhode Island for the annual American Athletic Conference football kickoff and media days.
Coach Edsall along with Luke Magliozzi, Matt Peart, Eli Thomas, Donovan Williams all enjoyed the Clambake on Monday night before fulfilling media obligations throughout the morning on Tuesday.

On Tuesday morning the American Athletic Conference revealed its preseason football media poll and the Huskies were picked to finish sixth in the East Division.

The Huskies are set to begin their 2019 campaign on Thursday, August 29 at 7 p.m. against Wagner College at Pratt and Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.
