2019 USA Hockey U-22 Women's Select Team
STORRS, Conn. – Back like she never left! Rising junior standout Natalie Snodgrass carved out her spot on the USA Hockey Women's Select Team, as announced by USA Hockey this afternoon. Snodgrass' selection makes this back-to-back seasons that the forward has earned the distinction and honor of representing the United States, as well as the UConn women's hockey team, in a series against Canada. This year's event will feature a best-of-three series Aug. 14-17 in Lake Placid, N.Y.
Snodgrass is no stranger to Team USA. Last year, the Eagan, Minn., native earned a spot on the U.S. U-22 Select team and went on to assist the team to a three-game sweep of Canada in the 2018 series. Prior to her arrival in Storrs, Snodgrass played for the U-18 team, leading the program to multiple IIHF U-18 championships in 2015 and 2016. After netting the golden goal to beat Canada and secure the gold medal, she was named the U.S. Player of the Game.
The rising junior had another sensational season for the Huskies, leading the team with 15 goals while also dishing out 14 assists as a sophomore. Additionally, Snodgrass registered nine multi-point games and four multi-goal games.
All games will be streamed live at HockeyTV.com.
