MSOC Readies for Match with Columbia

STORRS, Conn. – Wrapping up a brief two-game homestand before the start of conference play, UConn men's soccer will host the Columbia Lions on Friday, Sept. 20 at 7:00 pm at Dillon Stadium.

What to Know:
- UConn snapped its three-game skid with Tuesday's 2-0 shutout of Manhattan. Jordan Hall put one on the board in the first half while redshirt-junior Cole Venner added the second goal midway through the second half to seal the win.
- UConn is 1-1 all-time against Columbia. The teams last met on the pitch in 2013, a 4-0 Husky shutout.
- The Huskies have scored nine goals on 12 assists, with senior Jordan Hall leading the way with seven tallies.
- Columbia enters the weekend at 0-2-2. The Lions battled Omaha and Army to draws, with the two losses coming at the hands of Creighton and St. John's.
Leading the Pack:
Ray Reid leads the Huskies in his 23rd season as the head coach. A four-time National Coach of the Year and National Champion, Reid boasts the fourth-highest winning percentage (.740) among active coaches.
