No. 4 Huskies to Face UCF Thursday

STORRS, Conn. – The fourth-ranked UConn women's basketball team (14-1, 5-0 American) returns to the court Thursday to face UCF (9-5, 1-1) in Orlando at the Addition Financial Arena. The teams will tip at 6 p.m. on SNY/ESPN3 and the UConn IMG Sports Network (97-9 ESPN).
UConn is coming off a 68-56 win over Memphis on Tuesday. Senior Crystal Dangerfield led the Huskies with a season-high 24 points in her home state. The Huskies struggled early, trailing 21-15 after the first quarter. Sophomore Christyn Williams notched 16 points while junior Megan Walker had 14.
The Huskies are 106-0 all-time in American Athletic Conference regular season games. UConn is 11-0Â all-time vs. UCF with all meetings coming as conference foes.
UConn has four more exciting home games in the month of January. UConn will host a Husky Heritage Game this Sunday, Jan. 19, when the team takes on Tulsa. The Huskies will honor the 30th anniversary of Gampel Pavilion. For more information, click HERE.
The Huskies resume their series against Tennessee next Thursday, Jan. 23, at the XL Center in Hartford at 7 p.m. The game will be a WHITE OUT and fans are encouraged to wear white! On Sunday, Jan. 19, UConn returns to Gampel Pavilion for the first time in 2020 to host its Husky Heritage game. The team will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Gampel.Â
The Huskies will face former standouts Sue Bird, Tina Charles, Diana Taurasi and Breanna Stewart when UConn hosts the U.S. National Team in an exhibition on Monday, Jan. 27, in the XL Center. UConn will celebrate its 2009 and 2010 NCAA Champion teams, which include All-Americans Charles, Maya Moore and Renee Montgomery.
UConn finishes the month against Cincinnati on Thursday, Jan. 30, at Gampel. The team will host its annual Huskies & Heroes Night. To purchase tickets for all remaining games, click HERE.
The Huskies are ranked No. 4 in the latest AP Poll. This is UConn's 500th consecutive week ranked in the poll, dating back to 1993.
