UCONN'S 2020-21 MEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE
NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference has announced the remainder of its league schedule, which begins the week after Christmas and runs through Saturday, March 6. The league previously announced its pre-Christmas schedule, which included a concentrated group of 23 games from Dec. 11-23.
As a result of the early-December schedule, the schedule for February is lighter than usual, allowing room for two league-wide makeup weeks for games that must be re-scheduled due to the pandemic.
Game times and television coverage for the post-Christmas schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
UConn, which finishes up the pre-Christmas league schedule at DePaul on Dec. 23, will also begin its post-Christmas slate against DePaul one week later, hosting the Blue Demons on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Gampel Pavilion.
The Huskies will then be off until the following week, when they will be on the road for games at Marquette on Tuesday. Jan. 6, and at Butler on Saturday, Jan. 9.
UConn has just a single game the following week, playing host to Villanova on Friday, Jan. 15.
On Wednesday, Jan. 20, Xavier visits Gampel Pavilion, while the Huskies make their first-ever trip to Creighton on Saturday, Jan. 23. Another home-and-away week follows as UConn entertains Butler on Tuesday, Jan. 26, and travels to St. John's on Sunday, Jan. 31.
February begins with UConn playing host to Seton Hall on Saturday, Feb. 6, with the first league-wide makeup week running throughout the following week, until UConn's next scheduled game at Xavier on Saturday, Feb. 13.
The Huskies play host to Providence on Tuesday, Feb. 16, and travel to Villanova on Saturday, Feb. 20. That is followed by the second league-wide makeup week until UConn is home against Marquette on Saturday, Feb. 27.
The Huskies finish the regular-season with two games in March – traveling to Seton Hall on Wednesday, March 3, and bringing Georgetown to Gampel Pavilion on Saturday, March 6.
UConn already has three league games that need to be rescheduled – St. John's at home and Georgetown and Providence on the road. The BIG EAST will announce any changes and updates to the league schedule as disruptions occur.
The BIG EAST Championship is scheduled for March 10-13 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
