Dec. 23, 2020
NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference today released a revised 2020-21 men's basketball schedule, including games that had been postponed earlier in the season.
UConn had four previously postponed games added to the schedule, resulting in a crowded January, which now includes nine games, including three consecutive road games in a span of seven days.
The Huskies will play seven games in February and wrap up the regular season with two games in March. The BIG EAST Championship will follow on March 10-13, tentatively scheduled at Madison Square Garden.
Tipoff times have been announced for games through Jan. 15, with the remainder to be announced in the coming weeks. Television coverage has been announced for the entire remainder of the schedule, with the exception of UConn's game at Georgetown on Feb. 24.
The next scheduled game for UConn (3-1 overall, 0-1 BIG EAST) is against DePaul on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Gampel Pavilion.
The Huskies kick off 2021 with road games at Marquette, at Butler, and at DePaul on Jan. 5, Jan. 9 and Jan. 11, respectively.
Three straight home games follow, against Villanova (Jan. 15), St. John's (Jan. 18) and Xavier (Jan. 20).
The busy January wraps up with games at Creighton (Jan. 23), at home against Butler (Jan. 26) and at St. John's (Jan. 31).
UConn's February schedule begins with a home game against Seton Hall on Saturday, Feb. 6, followed by road games at Providence (Feb. 10) and at Xavier (Feb. 13). Providence visits Gampel Pavilion on Feb. 16 and the Huskies journey to Villanova on Feb. 20.
The final two February games include a trip to Georgetown (Feb. 24) and a home game against Marquette (Feb. 27). UConn's two games in March are at Seton Hall (March 3) and home against Georgetown (March 6).
Of UConn's final 19 games, six are TV designated for FOX, eight are designated for FS1, three will be televised on the CBS Sports Network, one will be on CBS, and the game at Georgetown on Feb. 24 is to be announced. Â
The schedule is subject to changes, which will be announced by the BIG EAST Conference as they occur.
