11 Field Hockey Players Earn National Academic Squad Honor

GILBERT, Ariz. - 11 players from the UConn field hockey team received 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad recognition on Tuesday afternoon.
Victoria Albright, Svea Boker, Anna Casinghino, Lindsay Dickinson, Claire Jandewerth, Chiara Ma, Abril Martinez-Arraya, Frances Mirabile, Liz Romano, Alena Smargiassi and Antonia Tiedtke all recorded GPAs over 3.3 during the fall semester of the 2019-20 academic year.
Two Division I academic awards remain to be announced — the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Scholars of Distinction will be announced on March 23 and the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA National Scholar-Athlete will be released on March 31. The Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA National Academic Team Award was announced on March 3.
