Walker Named USBWA First Team All-American

INDIANAPOLIS – Junior forward Megan Walker was selected to the 2019-20 USBWA Women's All-America First Team, as announced by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Monday.
Walker was the 2020 American Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Tournament Most Outstanding Player. In 2019-20, she averaged 19.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while ranking eighth nationally with a 45.1 three-point field goal percentage. Walker scored 20 or more points in 18 games this season.
Last week, Walker was named to the AP All-America First Team.
Senior guard Crystal Dangerfield was named honorable mention by the USBWA.
Walker is joined on the first team by Lauren Cox (Baylor), Ruthy Hebard (Oregon), Rhyne Howard (Kentucky) and Sabrina Ionescu (Oregon).
