Blake Captures Golden Glove presented by Allstate at MLS is Back Tournament

STORRS, Conn. – Former UConn Men's Soccer standout Andre Blake took home the Golden Glove presented by Allstate following an impressive showing in the MLS is Back Tournament.
Blake led the charge amongst goalkeepers as he racked up a whopping 32 saves – 19 from shots inside the box, while boasting an 86.5 save percentage. He also put up two shutouts in his four wins, which was tied for first.

The 2016 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year opened the tournament with a seven-save performance in a shutout against New York City FC, then put up a five-save effort in the 1-0 win over the New England Revolution in the round-of-16.
Blake was taken first overall by the Philadelphia Union in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft, - the first-ever goalkeeper taken with the top pick. His incredible performances in net earned him MLS All-Star selections in 2016 and 2019, the aforementioned MLS Goal Keeper of the Year Award and MLS Best 11 in 2016, as well as the CONCACAF Golden Glove Award in 2017.
