Softball Adds Sam Ryan to Class of 2024

STORRS, Conn. – UConn softball head coach Laura Valentino has announced the addition of incoming transfer Sam Ryan to the Class of 2024.
Ryan joins the Huskies after playing at Chattanooga State Community College where she appeared in 21 games and 18 starts in the circle during the 2021 season. In 122.1 innings, Ryan went 17-3 with a 1.32 ERA and 123 strikeouts. Prior to Chattanooga State, Ryan went to Monroe Woodbury High School and competed with the Canadian Junior National Team.
"Sam wants to be the best in everything that she does," said Valentino. "She will bring experience on the mound and is committed to contributing to our winning culture.
The Huskies will look to carry momentum into 2022 after finishing third In the BIG EAST standings and reaching the 2021 BIG EAST Championship game.
