No. 1 Huskies to Finish Regular Season vs. Marquette

STORRS, Conn. – The top-ranked UConn women's basketball team (20-1, 17-0 BIG EAST) concludes the regular season Monday vs. Marquette (17-4, 14-3) at 8 p.m. The game will air on CBS Sports Network and 97-9 ESPN.
Freshmen Aaliyah Edwards (24 points, 14 rebounds) and Paige Bueckers (20 points, 14 assists) had double-doubles to lead UConn past Butler, 97-68, Saturday. Bueckers broke the UConn single-game assist record vs. the Bulldogs. Edwards set season highs in points and rebounds while shooting 9-for-10 from the field. UConn scored 48 points in the paint vs. Butler.
UConn is 10-0 all-time vs. Marquette. In the teams' first meeting this season on Feb. 5, Bueckers scored 30 points as UConn beat Marquette, 87-58.
Marquette is second in the BIG EAST and will be the No. 2 seed in this weekend's BIG EAST Tournament. The Golden Eagles are currently on a five-game win streak, most recently an 85-71 win at No. 24 DePaul. This season, Selena Lott leads Marquette with 15.4 points per game. Head coach Megan Duffy is in her second season.
This is UConn's first game at home since Feb. 10. The Huskies played their last five games on the road. Â
