Three Huskies Named to Naismith Trophy Midseason Team

STORRS, Conn. – Junior Olivia Nelson-Ododa and Christyn Williams and freshman Paige Bueckers were selected to the 30-player Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Midseason Team, as announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club on Tuesday.
UConn is the only program with three selections on the list. The trio are UConn's top scorers this season.
Bueckers leads the Huskies with 21.1 points per game, 5.6 assists per game and 36 steals. She also leads the nation with a 56.9 three-point field goal percentage. Bueckers is averaging 21.4 points against ranked teams this season.
Nelson-Ododa is averaging 13.0 points per game and leads the Huskies with 7.1 rebounds per game and 26 blocks.
Williams is averaging 16.1 points per game and has scored in double digits in 12 games this season. She is averaging 17.0 points against ranked opponents.
The second-ranked Huskies (14-1, 11-0 BIG EAST) are back in action Wednesday to host Seton Hall (9-3, 7-2) Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. on SNY.
