STORRS, Conn. – UConn women's basketball head coach Geno Auriemma announced the addition of transfer forward Dorka Juhász Monday.
"We're excited to have Dorka join our program," Auriemma said. "She has a high skill level and the potential to fulfill a need on our team, and she was very interested in playing at UConn. I'm looking forward to start working with her in June."
Juhász will graduate from Ohio State this semester with a degree in psychology and has two remaining seasons of eligibility.
A 6-foot-4 forward, Juhász spent her first three seasons with the Buckeyes. She is a two-time First Team All-Big Ten selection and earned Second Team All-Big Ten and All-Freshman Team honors in 2018-19.
As a junior in 2020-21, Juhász was second on the Buckeyes with 14.6 points and led the team with 11.1 rebounds per game.
Prior to Ohio State, Juhász played for PEAC-Pécs in the Hungarian Championship Division A. She represented Hungary at the 2017 FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup. Juhász was the No. 12-ranked international player in the 2018 class.
Juhász is one of four newcomers for the 2021-22 season, joining freshmen Amari DeBerry, Caroline Ducharme and Azzi Fudd.
