UConn Athletics Will Transition to Mobile Ticketing in Fall of 2021

STORRS, Conn. - UConn athletics has announced that it will be distributing all tickets through mobile delivery, which can be accessed by ticketholders through digital wallets on smartphones beginning with the 2021 fall season. The move to mobile ticketing will apply to all ticketed sports including, but not limited to, football and men's and women's basketball, at all on-campus and off-campus home venues.
"As the environment created by the pandemic continues to improve, I am optimistic that we will be able to welcome UConn Nation back into our venues in the fall," director of athletics David Benedict said. "Mobile ticketing allows for a more streamlined and simple experience for our fans while also providing a safe and contactless transaction upon entry. We are excited about this offering but people unable to participate shouldn't worry as we will of course provide alternate options upon request."
While many single-game ticket buyers to UConn athletics events are familiar with the mobile ticketing delivery process, the transition will apply to our valued season-ticket holders as well. Mobile ticketing allows for faster delivery of tickets, contactless transactions at gates and more flexibility for ticketholders.
There will be no physical season ticket books or paper tickets, additionally, print-at-home tickets will be discontinued. Ticketholders who do not have a smartphone will be able to request alternative options.
Coming in September, UConn ticketholders will have access to a new and improved online ticket account which will enhance the user experience and provide a more intuitive self-service feature. Season ticket holders will be able to use their smartphone to view upcoming events, download tickets to their digital wallet, transfer tickets to multiple recipients via text message or email and post tickets for resale on UConn Athletics' Official Ticket Marketplace.
During the coming months, UConn athletics will release more information to ticketholders with detailed instructions and FAQ's.
