STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team will return to the pitch this fall as head coach Ray Reid released the 2021 schedule on Thursday afternoon.
After a shortened spring 2021 season, the Huskies are back in action, including a full slate of Big East games in UConn's second season back in the conference.
Before the regular season begins, UConn will play two preseason games against America East teams New Hampshire and Vermont.
The Huskies start the season with four straight non-conference home games against Bryant, Rhode Island, Monmouth, and Yale. UConn will open up Big East play on the road at Butler before another non-conference home matchup against Dartmouth.
A tough slate of Big East games follows the Huskies non-conference schedule. UConn will travel to DePaul in late September before hosting four straight games against St. John's, Villanova, Marquette, and Creighton to begin the October slate. Back to back road games against Seton Hall and Providence and the final two home games of the regular season with non-conference foe Rutgers and Big East rival Xavier close out the month of October for the Huskies.
The regular season finale comes in early November as UConn heads to Georgetown to take on a strong Hoya side that made the Big East final last season as well as the NCAA quarterfinals.
Big East Tournament dates and times will be released at a later date.
