BIG EAST Reveals 2021-22 Men's Basketball Schedule

Huskies Open League Play Against Providence on December 18
STORRS – The UConn men's basketball team will open its 2021-22 BIG EAST Conference schedule at home against longtime New England rival Providence.
Following 11 non-conference games, the Huskies begin their second season in their return to the BIG EAST on Saturday, Dec. 18, playing host to the Friars, the first of a 20-game league slate.
UConn will then be on the road for two games, sandwiching Christmas – Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Marquette and Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Xavier.
The Huskies will return home to entertain Butler on New Year's Day, the first of six January games. One week later, on Saturday, Jan. 8, UConn journeys to Seton Hall, then plays host to St. John's at home on Wednesday, Jan. 12.
Back-to-back road games follow, at Providence on Saturday, Jan. 15, and at Butler on Thursday, Jan. 20, and the Huskies end the month at home against Georgetown on Tuesday, Jan. 25, and at DePaul on Saturday, Jan. 29.
UConn will squeeze eight games into February, starting on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at home against Creighton. On Saturday, Feb. 5, the Huskies are at Villanova, followed by games at home on Tuesday, Feb. 8, against Marquette, and on the road on Sunday, Feb. 13, at St. John's.
UConn will enjoy three straight home games on Wednesday, Feb. 16, against Seton Hall, on Saturday, Feb. 19, against Xavier, and Tuesday, Feb. 22, against Villanova. The Huskies finish February's games on Sunday, Feb. 27, at Georgetown.
The final week of the regular season features games at Creighton on Wednesday, March 2, and at home against DePaul on Saturday, March. 5.
Game times and television coverage, as well as the home game splits between Gampel Pavilion and the XL Center, will be announced in the coming weeks.
