Watson Tabbed Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American

STORRS, Conn. - Continuing to rake in the preseason accolades, senior Sydney Watson of the UConn women's lacrosse team has been named an Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American, the organization announced Tuesday.

Watson was one of three midfielders to be named to the first team. The senior was also named a USA Lacrosse Magazine's Division I Women's Preseason First Team All-American as well as the magazine's Preseason Midfielder of the Year.

Watson produced 56 goals, 13 assists, 136 draw controls a season ago and will once again look to lead a stout Husky attack that returns 88.3 percent of its offense from the 2021 campaign.

UConn will open its 2022 season on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Fairfield.
