No. 9 UConn Takes on St. John’s Sunday

STORRS, Conn. – The ninth-ranked UConn women's basketball team (10-4, 5-0 BIG EAST) travels to Queens to face St. John's (5-11, 1-5) Sunday at 1 p.m. in Carnesecca Arena. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network.
The Huskies notched a 71-38 win over Seton Hall on Friday in Gampel Pavilion. Senior Olivia Nelson-Ododa led the way with 17 points, 14 rebounds and five assists vs. the Pirates. The Huskies had a season-high 53 rebounds and scored 38 points in the paint.
UConn is 44-17 all-time vs. St. John's. The Huskies and Red Storm faced off three times last season.
St. John's is coming off an 84-79 loss to Seton Hall last Wednesday. Leilani Correa led the Red Storm with 19 points in the game. This season, Correa paces St. John's with 20.4 points per game. Head coach Joe Tartamella is in his 10th season at St. John's.
