UConn Football Announces Future Games With UMass & Sacred Heart

STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut football team has entered into an agreement to play five games against the University of Massachusetts through the 2027 season. The Huskies also announced the date for the game against Sacred Heart University during the 2023 season, completing next year's schedule.
UConn and UMass face each other this Friday night, November 4 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field at 7 pm on CBS Sports Network. The two teams will then begin their five-game agreement next fall with a game scheduled to be played on Nov. 25, 2023 at a neutral site with the location to be determined. Although this game will be considered a neutral site event, UMass will be referred to as the home team.
The Huskies will travel to UMass for a match-up at McGuirk Alumni Stadium on November 30, 2024. UConn will host the Minutemen at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field on November 29, 2025 and October 24, 2026 and the Huskies will return to Amherst on October 16, 2027. The two schools have met 75 times heading into this Friday's match-up with the Minutemen holding a 38-35-2 edge in the all-time series.
The 2023 opponents on the UConn football schedule is now complete with the announcement of the UMass game and the home date for Sacred Heart as the Pioneers will come to East Hartford on November 18, 2023. This will be the first-ever meeting between UConn and Sacred Heart of the Northeast Conference. The Huskies are 5-0 all-time against teams from the NEC.
