STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team (3-5-1) is set for a matchup with the Seton Hall Pirates (4-1-5) Saturday night at Morrone Stadium.
The Huskies are coming into Saturday's match having won their first conference game of the season over Providence on Wednesday. Sophomore forward Scott Testori was the hero, scoring the winning goal in the final minute of the game. True freshman Eli Conway got on the scoresheet with his first career goal in Wednesday's match. He has started in UConn's last two matches and will look to carry momentum into Saturday's contest. Sophomore midfielder Mateo Leveque leads the team in points at nine, with two goals and five assists. He also got on the scoresheet against Providence.
Seton Hall is coming off a tie at home to DePaul. The Pirates have settled for draws in three of their first four conference matches. They currently rank 5th in the BIG EAST standings. UConn beat Seton Hall last year with a goal in the final 15 seconds of the game to win 1-0. The last three matches between the two programs have been very close with both teams having a combined score of 1-1.
Kickoff is set for 7:00pm Saturday night at Morrone Stadium. Tickets are available HERE.
