Jandewerth Named NFHCA Second Team All-American

STORRS, Conn. – Senior Captain, Claire Jandewerth, was named to the NFHCA All-American Second Team on Tuesday afternoon.
During her final season in Storrs in 2022, she was also named to the NFHCA All-Region First Team and the All-BIG EAST First Team, while being invited to play in the All-Star Senior game that took place during the NCAA National Championship weekend.
Jandewerth, a back from Mannheim, Germany, started in all 18 games for the Huskies this season. She notched four goals and recorded four assists. She scored the game-winning goal against Monmouth University on August 28th from a penalty stroke.
"Claire has been a dedicated student athlete who always puts her team first," said Head Coach Paul Caddy. "The growth of Claire as a player, student and leader has been a joy to watch. This growth led to her peers to choose her as team captain and also to become a dominant force on the pitch. Her coaching staff could not be prouder of her and the amazing young woman she has become. We are excited to see the great things Claire will achieve in the future."
