No. 9 Huskies to Host Seton Hall Wednesday

STORRS, Conn. – The ninth-ranked UConn women's basketball team (8-2, 1-0 BIG EAST) returns to conference play vs. Seton Hall (9-3, 2-0) Wednesday at noon at the XL Center. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network (97-9 ESPN).
Wednesday is Lunch with the Huskies and Field Trip Day at XL. With a noon tipoff, fans are invited to join the team and enjoy concessions discounted up to 45 percent. Additionally, more than 800 students from East Hartford Middle School will be attending the game for Field Trip Day.
UConn beat Florida State, 85-77, in the Basketball Hall of Fame Women's Showcase on Sunday. Â Junior Aaliyah Edwards set a career high with 26 points and shot 12-for-17 from the field. Edwards was named the game's MVP. Graduate student Dorka Juhász returned to action for the first time since Nov. 14 and notched 15 points, nine rebounds and a career-high five blocks vs. the Seminoles. Graduate student Lou Lopez Sénéchal continued to be one of UConn's most dependable scorers, notching 23 points vs. Florida State.
UConn is 55-10 all-time vs. Seton Hall. The Huskies have won the last 35 meetings between the teams. The teams last met on Jan. 21, 2022, a 71-38 win for the Huskies.
Seton Hall beat Fordham, 78-72, last Saturday. Senior Lauren Park-Lane scored 35 points in the game. This season, Park-Lane leads the Pirates with 21.3 points per game. Head coach Anthony Bozzella is in his 10th season at Seton Hall.
After a break for the holidays, the Huskies are back in action at Creighton on Dec. 28 at 8:30 p.m.
