Travis Jones Puts On a Show at Reese's Senior Bowl

UConn defensive tackle Travis Jones put forth an outstanding performance for the National team at the Senior Bowl this week in Mobile, Ala. Jones was named the top defensive tackle in a vote by the offensive line at the Practice Player-of-the-Week Awards ceremony, and his play on the field generated plenty of buzz from scouts and pundits on social media.Â

In 11 games during the 2021 season, Jones totaled 47 tackles while facing a steady diet of double-teams from the opposition. 7.5 of those tackles were for loss and he also posted 4.5 sacks.Â
He is projected as a third-round NFL Draft pick, and his week in Mobile did nothing but enhance that draft stock.Â
The Huskies will host 2022Pro Day on March 15, and the 2022 NFL Draft is set to begin on April 28.Â
