Jachym Kondelik Inks Deal with Nashville Predators

STORRS, Conn. - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the team has signed UConn senior forward Jachym Kondelik (Budejovic, Czech Republic) to a two-year, entry-level contract that will begin in the 2022-23 season.
Kondelik was originally drafted by the Predators in the fourth round (111th overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft. He wore the "C" on his jersey this season along with classmate Carter Turnbull and led the Huskies in scoring with 33 points. He scored a career-high 12 goals and dished out 21 assists and finished the season a +11. He had a team-best four power play goals as well.
Kondelik because a two-time Hockey East All-Start this season, earning a sport on the second team after getting a third team nod a as a junior. He as also named this year's Hockey East Gladiator Custom Mouthguards Best Defensive Forward award winner and blocked 21 shots. This season he became the 29th player in program history to hit 100 career points and finished with 104 points on 28 goals and 76 assists. His 76 career assists is a UConn Division I school record.
He helped lead the Huskies to a 20 win season and the program's first ever Hockey East Championship game appearance.
