Patricia Mroczkowski Runs Streak to Four-Straight BIG EAST Awards

STORRS, Conn. - UConn junior Patricia Mroczkowski (Berlin, Conn.) earned her fourth-straight BIG EAST Women's Field Athlete of the Week honor after her performance last weekend at LSU.
Mroczkowski continues her stranglehold on the top field athlete honor with the 10th-best high jump mark in the nation this season. The junior eclipsed the bar at 1.83 meters at the LSU Joe May Invitational, once again setting a personal best.Â
On the men's side, senior Daniel Claxton (Nesconset, N.Y.) won the men's Field Athlete of the Week. Claxton had his best outing of the outdoor season, clearing the bar at 2.06 meters in the high jump to place fourth overall at the LSU Joe May Invitational. He leads the BIG EAST and is 73rd on the national list.
The Huskies will be hosting the two-day UConn Northeast Challenge this weekend at the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex.
