Marc Gatcomb Signs with AHL's Abbotsford

STORRS, Conn. - UConn senior Marc Gatcomb (Woburn, Mass.) became the ninth Husky this offseason to sign a pro contract, joining the Abbotsford Canucks of the AHL. Abbotsford Canucks General Manager, Ryan Johnson, announced on Saturday that Gatcomb signed a one-year AHL contract for the 2022-23 season. Gatcomb has also been signed to a professional try out agreement for the remainder of the 2021-22 AHL season. Abbotsford is the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks.
Gatcomb finished his four-year Husky career this season and was an alternate captain this year. He finished the year fourth on the team in scoring with 21 points on eight goals and 13 assists, all career-high marks. He was a +6 on the year and defensively, had 17 blocked shots. Over four seasons in Storrs, Gatcomb appeared in 124 games finishing with 46 points on 22 goals and 24 assists.
