UConn MBB Announces 2022-23 Non-Conference Schedule

STORRS – Challenges against opponents from the Big 12 Conference, the SEC, and three games in the prestigious Phil Knight Invitational tournament highlight the 2022-23 UConn men's basketball non-conference schedule, released on Monday by the school.
The Huskies will meet Oregon in their first game of the PKI on Thursday, Nov. 24, at the Moda Center in Portland and will face either Alabama or Michigan State in the second game on Friday, Nov. 25, at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. UConn's third-game opponent in the tourney on Sunday, Nov. 27, will come from among North Carolina, Portland, Iowa State or Villanova.
Back home on Thursday, Dec. 1, the Huskies will host Oklahoma State in the Big 12-BIG EAST Battle, while on Wednesday, Dec. 7, UConn travels to Florida of the Southeastern Conference.
UConn opens its 2022-23 season on Monday, Nov. 7, playing host to new opponent Stonehill College, and will follow that game by renewing a rivalry against Boston University, entertaining the Terriers on Friday, Nov. 11.
On Tuesday, Nov. 15, the Huskies host Buffalo, and they will play home games against UNC Wilmington, on Friday, Nov. 18, and against Delaware State on Sunday, Nov. 20.
The three PKI games in Oregon occur during Thanksgiving week, followed by the games against Oklahoma State and at Florida.
The non-conference schedule concludes on Saturday, Dec. 10, with a home game against Long Island University.
Game times, venues, and television designations will be announced in the coming weeks, as well as UConn's 20-game BIG EAST Conference schedule.
