WSOC Faces UMass Lowell On Sunday

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's soccer team (1-1-1) returns to the field on Sunday to take on UMass Lowell at 1 p.m. at Morrone Stadium.Â
The Huskies are coming off its first loss of the season against No. 4 South Carolina on Thursday night. UConn responded to a tough draw at Army in the season opener with a resounding 6-0 beat down of Syracuse last Sunday.
Abbey Jones leads the Huskies with two goals on the season with five other Huskies notching one goal on the season.Â
UConn is 1-0 all-time against the River Hawks with a 2-1 victory in overtime Lowell, Mass. in 2019.Â
UMass Lowell is 1-2 on the season with a season opening victory against Merrimack and then losses to No. 19 Georgetown and Boston University.
The Huskies will be on the road the next two weeks with their next home match coming on Friday, Sept. 16 against Yale.Â
