MSOC kickoff BIG EAST play at Creighton Saturday

OMAHA, Neb. – The UConn men's soccer team (2-3) opens BIG EAST play at Creighton (3-1-2).
UConn is coming into Saturday's contest having lost two straight games. The Huskies offensive attack has been a bright spot all season as they rank fourth in the BIG EAST in shots with 77. Graduate transfer Frantz Pierrot leads the team with 11 shots on goal this season. He ranks first in the BIG EAST in shots with 20 and shots per game with four. Pierrot has one goal and an assist through the first five games. Midfielder Mateo Leveque leads the team in points with six. He is second in assists in the BIG EAST with four on the season.
Creighton is coming into Saturday's match having won their last match at Omaha 6-1. The Blue Jays, like the Huskies have a potent offensive attack as they lead the BIG EAST in goals with 23 through their first six games of the season. Creighton started the season ranked at number seven in the United Soccer Coaches Poll and were picked to finish fourth in the BIG EAST preseason coach's poll.
Kickoff is set for 6:30pm at Morrison Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska.
