No. 5 UConn Travels to Seton Hall Tuesday

STORRS, Conn. – The fifth-ranked UConn women's basketball team (15-2, 8-0 BIG EAST) takes on Seton Hall (13-5, 6-2) on Tuesday in Walsh Gymnasium at 7 p.m. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network (97-9 ESPN).
Junior Aaliyah Edwards had 17 points and 11 rebounds to help the Huskies past Georgetown, 65-50, last Sunday. Graduate student Dorka Juhász had 13 points and 10 rebounds vs. the Hoyas. UConn went 22-for-26 from the free throw line vs. Georgetown. UConn trailed 13-11 after the first quarter but outscored the Hoyas 20-8 in the third to build a lead.
UConn is 56-10 all-time vs. Seton Hall, including 43-2 under head coach Geno Auriemma. The Huskies have won the last 36 meetings between the teams. The teams previously met on Dec. 21, in Hartford, a 98-73 win for the Huskies. Junior Aaliyah Edwards led UConn with 23 points in the game.
Redshirt junior Aubrey Griffin's father, Adrian, played basketball at Seton Hall. Her mother, Audrey, ran track at Seton Hall.
Seton Hall fell at Creighton, 75-53, last Wednesday. Sidney Cooks led the team with 20 points. This season, Lauren Park-Lane leads Seton Hall with 20.1 points per game. Head coach Anthony Bozzella is in his 10th season at Seton Hall.
UConn's game vs. DePaul, originally scheduled for Jan. 8, has been rescheduled to Monday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. in Gampel Pavilion. Patrons with tickets and parking passes to the original game will be able to use them on the makeup date.
The Huskies return to Gampel Pavilion this Saturday to host Butler at noon for UConn's Pride Game.
