UConn junior forward Adama Sanogo has earned a place on two more midseason awards lists.
On Thursday, the Huskies' leading scorer and rebounder was named to the Oscar Robertson Trophy Midseason Watch List as well as The Sporting News Midseason College Basketball All-America Team.
Sanogo was previously named to the midseason watch list for the John R. Wooden Award.
The 6-9 junior, who was voted as the BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year, is UConn's top scorer and rebounder through 20 games in 2022-23, averaging 17.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. He also has a .591 overall field goal percentage, a .379 three-point field goal percentage and is shooting .758 from the foul line.
In the BIG EAST, Sanogo ranks second in scoring, seventh in field goal percentage, 10th in overall rebounding, 10th in offensive rebounds, and eighth in defensive rebounding.
The Oscar Robertson Trophy is awarded by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association to the College Basketball National Player of the Year. The Midseason Watch list includes just 50 college players. Sanogo was one of only five players on the list from the BIG EAST, joined by Xavier's Souley Boum, Providence's Bryce Hopkins, Creighton's Ryan Kalkbrenner, and St. John's Joel Soriano.
The Sporting News honored just 15 players with its Midseason All-America Team. Sanogo was named to the Third Team. Only one other BIG EAST player, Boum, was on the list, making the Second Team. Â Â Â Â Â Â
