No. 5 Huskies Take on DePaul Monday

STORRS, Conn. – The fifth-ranked UConn women's basketball team (17-2, 10-0 BIG EAST) plays in Gampel Pavilion for the second time in three days as the Huskies host DePaul (11-9, 4-5) on Monday at 7 p.m. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network (97-9 ESPN).
UConn's game vs. DePaul was originally scheduled for Jan 8 but was postponed as the Huskies were under the BIG EAST's minimum of seven available scholarship student-athletes.
Tickets and parking passes for UConn's originally scheduled DePaul game are valid for Monday's game. Game information will automatically update for mobile tickets, and paper tickets issued for the 8th will be valid on Monday.
The Huskies trailed after the first quarter but rallied to beat Butler, 79-39, last Friday. Butler held a 13-10 lead after 10 minutes, but UConn outscored the Bulldogs 69-26 in the final 30 minutes. Junior Aaliyah Edwards led UConn with 20 points while adding seven rebounds. Redshirt junior Aubrey Griffin and graduate student Lou Lopez Sénéchal each had 17 points and seven rebounds in the game. UConn scored 27 points off turnovers.
UConn is 21-1 all-time vs. DePaul, including 20-0 under head coach Geno Auriemma. The teams last met on Feb. 11, 2022. Dorka Juhász led the Huskies with 22 points and eight rebounds in the game.
The Blue Demons have lost five of their last six, most recently an 81-72 loss to St. John's on Saturday. Aneesah Morrow led DePaul with 26 points and 11 rebounds.
This season, Morrow leads the Blue Demons with 25.2 points and 11.9 rebounds per game. Morrow ranks fourth nationally in points per game, fifth in rebounds per game and third in double-doubles (16). Head coach Doug Bruno is in his 37th season at DePaul.
