First Year Kyle Johnson Earns BIG EAST Field Athlete of the Week Honors

STORRS, Conn. - The BIG EAST Conference has announced freshman Kyle Johnson BIG EAST Field Athlete of the Week to kick off the indoor season.

Johnson kicked off the indoor season at the Husky Challenge with an explosive result of 15.43m in the triple jump. That jump was first at the meet, first in the conference, and sixth in the nation.

The next meet for UConn is the Suffolk University Invite on Jan. 13 in Boston.
